I can't really see us "celebrating" Pi Day since the kids are still young, but maybe we'll get some fun ideas and just go for it.
Pi Day is March 14th. Here is a blog post from Woot this morning. There were 9 things but I had to leave one out! Those bad bloggers at Woot! Shame!

9 Ways We'll Be Celebrating Pi Day
- Trying to arrange a 3.1415926535897932385 some
- Dressing up like Archimedes to hand out protractors to local children
- Proving that πr2 by ordering a Sicilian pizza
- Finalizing our plans to move against Caesar
- Reassuring e and c that they’re special too
- Exposing the lie of Judeo-British “mathematics” and the global calculator-smuggling conspiracy masterminded by the Bilderbergers, Queen Elizabeth II, and TV’s Gerald McRaney (Major Dad, Jericho)
- Irresponsibly rounding up to four
- Really seriously considering going back to get our GED
Brown Bear has been using pi in math this year.
ReplyDeleteI cannot ever hear it with out thinking of Jethro (from the beverly hilbillies) and saying " Pi aren't square, pi are round!".HA!
