Next to our bed is a nightstand which sits under the window. We put a lot of things on the window ledge in an effort to keep them away from Jack, or rather, to keep Jack from getting them. Things like a screw driver that has not made it back to the tool box yet, remote control, Girl Scout cookies and a cup of Mt. Dew.
Yesterday I left the room only for a minute. This is what I found when I came back in for Jack.
My kids have always been able to sneak my dad's pepsi until sarah climbed the shelf and dumped the entire thing (a big gulp completely full) on her. then we had to lay down the law.
ReplyDeleteWe have hiding spots kinda like this actually all over the house and we never can seem to find anything when we need it.And sometimes when we aren't looking for anything in particular the little girls always seem to come up w/the things that should've still been hidden!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! After 10 kiddos, I've given up on having any hiding places. If it's not under lock and key, it may as well be community property!
ReplyDeletethat's so funny! I remember how I was internally freaking out when Annicka snuck her first sip of soda (she was two) from my mil, who didn't think twice about it 'cause all the other grandkids did it! Now I let them have it all the time, in fact - with my new soda rule - they end up having it more than me!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I'm glad we're not the only ones who can never have drinks handy anymore. Up on the mantel is where ours go, until they're flat and fizzless because we've forgotten about them... Sigh. Do I stop drinking diet soda, or do I let my toddler become just as addicted — the choices...
