The results......Drum roll please!

Jack had his follow-up doctor's appointment yesterday. The EEG came back normal. YEA!!!! The MRI was kind of inconclusive though because the abnormality that showed up on there is likely from the hemorrhage he had when he was first born. (He was a preemie, and brain bleeds are pretty normal for preemies. It was just a grade one and it resolved itself over several weeks.) We don't know for certain that is what it is from though, so she went ahead and put in a referral to a neurologist.

I asked her if the hemorrhage could possibly be the culprit of the seizures. Of course she didn't know for sure, and we may never know, but she doesn't think it was because he didn't have his first one until 13 months of age, plus there has always been sickness associated with the seizure and two out of the three he had a fever.

So we really don't know anything for sure yet, but we will at least get further testing, if needed, or medication if the neurologist decides that is the best next step. At this point I am willing (maybe even eager?) to get him on meds if it will prevent more seizures!

It may be a while before we find out anything else, but I will update when we do. Thank you again for all your prayers, and please continue to pray for no more seizures as God brings Jack-Jack to your heart and mind. :)
