I promise, they *wanted* to rake leaves! LOL! We actually rarely rake up our leaves. Usually we just leave them to decompose (actually we're just too lazy to get them up off our grass), but this year they just looked like too much fun to not enjoy. I suggested to the kids that they rake them into a huge pile and then jump in the middle of it! So for quite a while, they raked, piled, messed it all up, raked up again, etc. It was tons of fun! :)
Jacob switched to Jayla's bike (same size, different color) because his horn wasn't working.
Jack really didn't express an opinion over being dumped in a huge pile of leaves and being partially buried in them, but he did think they made a really cool rustling sound when he kicked them.

The kids rakes ours the other day for the same purpose and then Lioness decided that it would get in her hair and that was that.
ReplyDeleteWe are actually going to use them as mulch to get a garden spot decomposing over the winter.
how fun - we've been wanting to do this, but it's always so wet that it would be a horrid mess to jump in the leaves - yuck!
