Our homeschool group has a monthly Lego Club meeting. It is set up where each family who wants to join puts in one set or bag of Legos ONE TIME, then everyone plays with all of them together. All of the kids are very good at sharing because there are so many, and they always have a blast. We have not been in a while, so the kids were really looking forward to it! We even invited some friends along who were just visiting and checking out the homeschool group to see if they are interested in joining (it's just a free online, no-obligation group). I think one of the families may! Yea! :) They each have boys who are just a few months younger than Jonathan (they will both turn 9 in the fall), and these boys are quickly becoming some of his very good friends.
Interestingly enough, I know Noah's dad (the redhead on the left) from church about 15 years ago, and Myles knows Andrew's dad (the dark-haired one on the right) from when they were just a few years old, but they haven't seen each other in about 20 years! We have recently started visiting this church where they attend, and Andrew's dad is the pastor while Noah's dad is also very involved with the leadership. It has been so great reconnecting with the families, seeing Noah's family again (he also used to be in my Sunday School class when he was barely walking!) and getting to know Andrew's family. The wives/moms are so sweet and lovely people. I feel honored to know them and that they wanted to hang out with us on this day! :)
that looks very fun!
