Only ONE religion in the Messiah!!!

I have always had a hard time understanding how the same God of the New Testament would simply change His mind on His chosen "religion" and start a brand new one after sending His Son. Isn't God the same yesterday, today and forever? (Mal. 3:6)

Why then do we have to choose between Judaism or Christianity? Why not serve the same God of the bible, of the Old AND New Testaments, all wrapped up into one "religion"?

In seeking His Truth, that is what our family is trying to do. We are discovering that the more we learn, the more we still have to learn, and it is VERY exciting!!!!

We do NOT accept all the man-made rules of Judaism, nor are we even attempting to follow Judaism, but then, the more we study and understand the Truth in God's holy word, we see there are also so many deceptions taught in Christianity. More than most people realize!

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the Church (Jews AND non-Jews) needs to strive for unity, and when we look at the word of God as Judaism in the Old Testament and Christianity in the New (two different religions), we will never come to a full knowledge of His Truth. So I just want to encourage all of my friends to understand that it is THE SAME GOD we worship today Who led His people out of slavery thousands of years ago! The same God who delivered the commandments to the Israelites is the same God who died for our sins, and is also the same God who will come back for His people one day, whether Jew or foreigner!!!

If we all serve the same God, then let's study the WHOLE bible and figure out which of our current beliefs are not in line with it, and then correct them. We need to stop trying to be right and win arguments and start really listening to the Holy Spirit, lose our PRIDE.......let me say that again......LOSE OUR P-R-I-D-E, and change our beliefs to fit what the Scriptures say instead of trying to change the Scriptures to fit our beliefs.

Just some thoughts this morning. I hope this is encouragement to study, study, study, because that is what I intend and pray it will be for. :) ♥ you all!
