Right now my two little girls are both sitting at the computer doing starfall. My son is watching t.v and my oldest daughter got a job and today is her second day of work.
If you guys go to skate fever in Tuttle be sure and say hi to her.Homeschool skate day is this Friday or the second Friday of each month. Here is her fixing to go to work a few minutes ago.
:o( My baby is growing up.Does she look old enough to work? She is only 14!She has been looking for a job for months now.She finally found one that will let her work at her age.
Grace and Peace,
Nicole

Frolicky Friday

Whew! We had a blast today! I've made a point to play with the kids more this week, but part of our play time together was because I wanted to play too! We had fun! This week we've played Barbies, cars, matching games, read books together and hula hooped together. I'm still working on that last one. Jayla is a pro!
Specifically today, for Frolicky Friday, we played catch football together, did puzzles, played Barbies....I'm sure there was more. Bubbles! We played outside until it was almost dark. The weather was so great today! One of my favorite things to do with Jack, because his reaction is so cute, is to make funny faces or noises and see if he will imitate me. He just smiles or giggles and tries to do most anything I do. If he doesn't think he can, he just looks at me like I've totally lost it and starts laughing at me. If you could see me acting like a complete idiot, you'd probably think I'd lost it too! :)
They're such a blessing. I am so thankful for the opportunity to play with them any time I want!

Jayla's thought process
I just think it's so cool watching how children think and learn. This afternoon, right after our Target trip, Jayla and I went to Panera Bread. That is our favorite place because they have lots of vegetarian (and healthier in general) options. We were sitting there talking about shopping together and her helping me, etc. All of a sudden she got this really "deep thought" look on her face and was quiet for a few seconds. Then she had a hard time putting her thoughts into words as she was trying to tell me "It just goes on and on", meaning that I used to go shopping with my mom when I was little and I learned from her, now Jayla is doing that with me, and someday she will have a daughter (she hopes) to do the same with! Jayla is definitely a deep thinker and always looks to the future. That is one of the things I love about her....but I wish she would grow up a little more slowly so I can have more time to soak it all in!

Typical boy
I don't think you can really tell in the picture, but someone had given Jack a water bottle that had a little water left in it and no lid! He spilled it out on the play saucer and just splashed away and giggled. :)
crafts
Here are some crafty things the kiddos have done in the last few days. I didn't get pictures of everything, of course. They had craft supplies all over the place for a couple of days.
The first two are a balloon baby and a balloon shark. It was sad when the baby popped! :( Next is bunny ears made from pipe cleaners. Jack really didn't mind the bunny ears being on him, but he was upset because Jayla was holding him for a picture and he wanted to crawl around! The last one was a hairdo that Jayla didn't think she liked until she saw the picture of it. She thought she was going to have 6 ponytails sticking out all over her head. LOL!

building creations
Here are some pix of some things the kids have built recently with the Legos, Bristle Blocks and train tracks. I wish you could see them in person. The boys have a story line to go along with each creation, and some of them have moving parts! Hmmm, I guess I didn't take any pictures of their Lego creations, but they have been playing with them a LOT lately.
