Funny fruit!

My good friend, Sasha, in Oregon grew a very interesting tomato this year. She named it Fred.
Isn't that hilarious?! :) So right after I saw the picture, we went out to pick some of our own okra, and whadayaknow! We have some funny fruit too! (Yes, okra is also a fruit.) It's not quite as funny as Fred the Tomato, but I've never seen one this curly before!

Jacob thought it tasted pretty good, despite its funny appearance.

Funny Fruit

This was the first of two hedgehogs the kids and I made. This one was for Jonathan to take to AWANAS, and the 2nd one, with green grapes on the back, was for Jayla to take for a snack to American Heritage Girls. We were going to make something else for Jayla, but the hedgehog was just too much fun. :) Here is the link if anyone wants to try one of these animals, etc.
